For definitions of the terms used (such as “personal data” or “processing”), please see Article 4 of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
Access data
We, the website operator and website provider, collect data regarding access to the website on the basis of our legitimate interest (see Article 6 (1) (f) GDPR) and store such data in the form of “server log files” on the server of the website. The following data is logged in this manner:
- Website visited
- Exact time of access
- Quantity (in bytes) of the data sent
- Source/reference from which you accessed the website
- Browser used
- Operating system used
- IP address used
The server log files are stored for a maximum of seven days and then deleted. The data is stored for security reasons, for example to clarify cases of misuse. If data must be retained for reasons of proof, it is excluded from deletion until the incident has been definitively clarified.
Reach measurement and cookies
This website uses cookies for pseudonymised reach measurement; these cookies are placed on the user’s browser either by our server or a third-party server. Cookies are small files that are stored on your device. Your browser accesses these files. The use of cookies increases the user-friendliness and security of this website.
If you do not wish cookies to be stored on your device for the purpose of reach measurement, you can object to the use of cookies as follows:
- Network Advertising Initiative cookie disabling page
- Cookie disabling page of the US website
- Cookie disabling page of the European website
Common browsers offer you the option not to accept cookies by making the appropriate settings. Please note: there is no guarantee that you will be able to access all functions of this website without restrictions if you make such settings.
Collection and processing of personal data
The website operator collects and uses your personal data and passes it on only if such is permitted within the legal framework or if you have consented to our collecting data.
“Personal information” is any information that is used to identify you and which can be traced back to you, such as your name, email address and telephone number.
You can also visit this website without providing information about your person. However, to improve our online offer, we store data about your accessing this website (without personal reference). This access data includes, for example, the file you request or the name of your Internet provider. The anonymisation of the data makes it impossible for us to draw conclusions about your person.
We process personal data such as first name, last name, IP address, email address, place of residence, postal code and content information from the contact form.
We process personal data only after the users in question have given their express permission and in compliance with the applicable data protection regulations.
We process personal data on the basis of our legitimate interest in implementing our services agreed by contract and in optimising our online offer.
Our handling of contact data
If you make use of the contact possibilities offered to contact us, the website operator, your information will be stored so that we can use it to process and respond to your request. Without your consent, this data is not passed on to any third parties.
Our handling of comments and posts
If you leave a post or comment on this website, your IP address will be stored. This is based on our legitimate interests within the meaning of Article 6 (1) (f) GDPR and serves to provide security for us as website operator: if your comment should violate applicable law, we can be sued for it. This is why we have an interest in the identity of the author of the comment or post.
Google Analytics
Based on our legitimate interests in optimising and analysing our online offer within the meaning of Article 6 (1) (f) GDPR, this website uses “Google Analytics”, a service provided by Google Inc. (1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, California 94043, USA). Google Analytics uses cookies – text files that are stored on your device. The information collected by the cookies is usually sent to a Google server in the United States and stored there.
Google LLC complies with European data protection law and has certified to the Privacy Shield Framework:

IP anonymisation is used on this website. The user’s IP address is shortened within the member states of the EU and the European Economic Area and in the other states that are party to the EEA Agreement. Only in individual cases is the IP address first transferred in full to a Google server in the United States and shortened there. Once an IP address is shortened in this manner, it loses any personal reference. The user’s IP address transmitted by the browser is not combined with other data stored by Google.
Within the scope of the contract for commissioned processing which we, the website operator, have concluded with Google Inc., Google uses the information collected to evaluate the use of the website and website activity and to provide services connected with the use of the Internet.
The data Google collects on our behalf is used to evaluate the use of our online offer by the individual users – for example, to report on the activity on the website, enabling us to improve our online offer.
You have the option to prevent cookies from being stored on your device by making the appropriate settings in your browser. There is no guarantee that you will be able to access all functions of this website without restrictions if your browser does not allow cookies.
Furthermore, you can use a browser plug-in to prevent the information collected by cookies (including your IP address) from being sent to Google Inc. and from being used by Google Inc. The corresponding plug-in is available here: https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout?hl=en-GB
